Capitol Stairs Mosaic

Begin your self-guided tour at the Capitol Stairs. The Capitol Stairs Mosaic is a sight to see. Located at the cul-de-sac at 602 Capitol Street and Sonoma Boulevard the recently mosaicked stairs connects the Heritage District above to Sonoma Boulevard and Vallejo’s Historic Downtown district.

Vallejo’s Architectural Gems

From the top of the Capitol Stairs continue into the Heritage District neighborhood above. Be aware the Heritage District includes steep hills.

One of the first nationally registered Heritage Districts west of the Mississippi, Vallejo’s Heritage district includes homes built between 1860 and 1890.
