Gorgeous, sweeping melodies, by the composer of Nutcracker and Swan Lake, melt the heart in Tchaikovsky’s musical portrayals of star-crossed lovers. Under the direction of Maestro Thomas Conlin, The Vallejo Festival Orchestra will be joined by two rising stars in the operatic firmament: soprano Sarah Tucker and baritone Michael Adams. The romantic program includes the composer’s takes on Romeo and Juliet and Francesca da Rimini along with selections from his greatest opera, Eugene Onegin.
