Vino Godfather Presents: Peppino D’Agostino with John R. Burr and Jenna Mammina. A native of Italy, D’Agostino has made his considerable international mark as a musical artist on the guitar since he arrived in America 35 years ago. In 2017 Guitar Player listed him as one of the 50 transcendent superheroes of the acoustic guitar.
Peppino has recorded 19 CD’s, and performed in over thirty-five countries at international music festivals and concert halls. He has shared the stage with such greats as Larry Carlton, Eric Johnson, Tommy Emmanuel, Leo Kottke, and many more.
John R. Burr is a musician of wide ranging and diverse style. Although firmly rooted in Blues and Jazz, he is heavily influenced by his love of vocal music, ranging from the Beatles to traditional Celtic folk songs. A sought-after accompanist and arranger on the Bay Area music scene, regularly appearing with Jackie Ryan, Kenny Washington, Nicolas Bearde and Kitty Margolis. Through his touring and recording with vocalist Maria Muldaur, he became enamored with the piano stylings of the New Orleans piano masters James Booker, Professor Longhair and Dr John.
Jenna Mammina has been recognized as one of the leading women of jazz/pop crossover for three years in a row by Jazziz Magazine and was awarded Jazz Performer of the Year in the SF Weekly. As of 2022 Jenna has recorded 11 albums on her Mamma Grace label as well as countless recordings for Blue Coast.
Jenna has performed with Ricki Lee Jones, Bobby McFerrin, Al Jarreau, David Sanborn, Phish, and Rosemary Clooney. She’s appeared at Yoshi’s in Oakland, California, The Green Mill in Chicago, and festivals like Jazz Aspen, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage, and Monterey San Francisco.
