Luftgekuhlt and Air | Water Porsche car show

Air | Water is an encompassing car show welcoming all eras of the German brand to a home. It connects the storylines of the classic, vintage, and modern, whether it be a road or track car, a plane or famous tractor. Everyone will come to immerse themselves in the atmosphere curated by the same team who brought the Luftgekühlt family of events to life.

In 2022, the initial idea for Air | Water began to take shape, and the concept was evident with the Nearly 2,000 Porsche cars that were parked in the corral outside of the Luft gates. Air-cooled, water-cooled and four-doors alike created a static show that drew its own fan spectacle.

“Air | Water is a complete story of the brand,” Long said. “It will still be curated and share many of the creative principles of Luftgekühlt. Newcomers and those who have supported us since the start have a place at Air | Water. We’re excited to hold these two events together this year for people to experience them side by side. I want people to enjoy all that Luft has become while celebrating all things Porsche with Air and Water.”

The branding of Luft is so palpable that even a photograph is easily identified as a place and time of the event chain. Air | Water will stand in stark contrast with a life of its own but is still developed by the same team that has carefully built each Luft event. Air | Water is English in name, German in understanding and united in all things Porsche.

The fledgling show runs with every leap and bound the Porsche brand has seen. A complete lineage presented in the display includes many notable heavy hitters like the Porsche 356 of the fifties and sixties, with the icons of transaxle like the 924 and a taste of the millennium with the 996, Cayenne and the latest 992 variant of the flagship 911.

The homage begins Sunday, April 30 at Mare Island in San Francisco, California.

Tickets are now on sale.
