Bring the whole family to Vallejo’s 32nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration Saturday, June 18th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, 100 Georgia Street downtown at Mare Island Way & Capitol Street behind JFK Library. Enjoy delicious food, vendors, speakers, live music, including jazz saxophonist Ron Burris, R&B artists Project 4 Band, and Blues guitarist Alvon Johnson, plus spoken word, choreographed dance, demonstrations, free health screenings, consumer information, and more. The celebration will also feature presentations by the winners of the “Juneteenth: What Does Freedom Mean to Me” K-12 student art contest sponsored by the Solano County Library.
