Join us for this exclusive intro to painting class at the Mare Island Art Studios(MIAS) and create this Catrina painting. This class will be full of fun, learning and laughter. Don’t miss out on this step-by-step guided painting class and a chance to see the works of both Mark Martin and Jose Martinez.

We begin painting at 1:00pm, please arrive around 15 minutes prior in order to get settled in and be ready to paint. (All art supplies are included)

Join our Community Dia De Los Muertos Altar

For the month of October, please bring something for the altar. Often it is a picture or remembrance of a loved one, pan de muertos, flowers, papel picado, marigolds, salt, candles (must be battery powered) whatever you like. We will also have a table set up  where you and your family can make your own paper flowers for the altar or to take home. Donations appreciated. items left for the altar can be picked up the last day of the event. MIAS cannot be responsible for safety or return of items left on the altar.
