Willy Jordan, the dynamic singer from Elvin Bishops Big Fun Trio is coming back to the Empress Lounge along with Volker Strifler on guitar and vocals. Jordan is well known for his work with Motor Dude Zydeco, and most recently, as part of Elvin Bishop's 2017 Grammy-nominated Big Fun Trio. 

Guitarist Volker Strifler creates music that ranges from modern Blues rock to soulful chunky back beats reminiscent of a mid 50’s R&B ballads, blending it all with country blues/roots and touches of jazz. The mixture is topped off with the lazy, slurred singing style of Strifler’s husky vocals producing the seductive magic of music performed with deep conviction and amazing originality.
