Hosting MC Kevin "AJ" Black, a native San Francisco dance/concert producer/promoter during the 70's and 80's will be introducing our performers - during those years he contracted with many Bay Area and national bands (funk / soul / salsa and of course Latin rock) at various venues (Jack Tar Hotel, California Hall, Kabuki Theater and the Orpheum Theater) - but our band holds a special place in his heart because Dakila was the very first band he contracted with for an event that was held at the University of San Francisco Memorial Gym on November 16, 1973 - it was well attended by over 2,000 dancing fans - Kevin still has some memorabilia from that night which he will share at our concert on Saturday 7/29/23 at the famous Vino Godfather Wine Mansion on Mare Island-Vallejo, Ca.
