Renowned wine maker Dave Phinney decided to expand his success into the whisky realm. They made a deal to set up Savage & Cooke on the old naval base at Mare Island. Hired renowned distiller Jordan Via and started producing Ryes and Bourbons finished in wine barrels. Their products have taken top recognition in spirits competitions.
The half day experience will start with a tour and progress to a tasting and blending class, capped off with an amazing fried chicken dinner (veggie option available) and a commemorative bottle featuring the class blend.
In the blending class, we will build a blend from different wine finished barrels including Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel. Choose Bottling proof. Customize label with our branding
