The Benicia Historical Museum History Talks Series returns May 14th at 11:30 with a presentation by Steve Johnson. Steve has a degree in U.S. History from San Francisco State University and has taught California history for 30 years.
He is a board member of the Pacifica Historical Society, and is a guide for the National Park Service on Alcatraz where he gives tours about the Native American occupation of the island. Over the years Steve has studied the history and culture of the First People of the Bay Area and has conversed with many of their elders. His presentation will focus on the lives, past and present, of several of the tribes in our area.
