Brief Description:
This annual event promises a day filled with authentic German food, fabulous live music, and exciting games & competitions, including a free Mega Kid Zone, make it a perfect outing for families and friends.
Attendees will be able to enjoy imported German beer, including Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest beer that has been around since 1040! Indulge in delicious fare from the German Guys restaurant, the authentic German cuisine people flock to from all over the Bay Area. In addition, festival-goers can snack on a variety of treats from Bay Area Munchiez & Kettle Pop.
For those looking to showcase their strength, the Masskrugstemmen (stein carrying) Competition will challenge participants to hold full beer steins for as long as possible. And don’t forget to bring your best traditional outfits for the Costume Contest, where prizes will be awarded for the most crowd-pleasing dirndls and lederhosen.
The festival will feature live entertainment throughout the day, including performances by the fabulous Red Elvises, the Benicia High School Band, Alpentanzkapelle, and Bavarian Dancers. Adult games will entertain while children frolic in the free Mega Kid Zone area, filled with activities designed for children of all ages.
Shoppers can explore a vibrant Marketplace with over 20 local vendors & German-themed gifts, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
